"Paris Hilton is having a big problem — her 24-carat diamond engagement ring is too heavy for her hand. A source told US Weekly, '[Hilton] started complaining how heavy her 24-carat ring was and that her finger hurt.' The source goes on to explain that Hilton's fiancé, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, 'got her a more manageable diamond-less platinum Cartier band for everyday wear.'"

"Nicole Kidman says that since her marriage to Tom Cruise failed, she's been wary of dating men. 'I can't help but question people's motives, particularly men's,' she said, according to MSNBC.com. 'So many people want a possession or they want to be in a newspaper.' She also admits that the divorce put her into a funk for months. 'I didn't get out of my pajamas for several months. I would drive the children to school in my pajamas. I didn't feel like getting dressed. I didn't want to do my hair, I didn't want to put on make-up. It was like: 'Who cares?''"

"British TV host Graham Norton says he was fuming recently at an airport lounge because of the antics of an "annoying" child. He told Heat magazine, "The child was running around everywhere and being really annoying. I saw his mother buying it a cola and I was like: 'Yeah, great move, give the kid more sugar and caffeine. So the silly cow was bringing the cola over and she stops at my table and says, 'Can I just say how much I enjoy your show.' And then I looked again and it was Angelina Jolie.'"

hey all! well, today was awesome! and i mean it! today i worked a 7.5hr shift at zellers, however i wasn't angry about it. before i started, i got 2 hbc $5 gift cards, one for being the winner of a draw (speeding ticket) and the other for being a part of the top 3 in credit blend. yay! i have 3 $5 gift cards now! yay!!!!

anyway, when i started my shift, it was busy. there were long lines (not too long) and there were 3 of us cashing. however, when the evening came, it was dead. literally. now, the "cash manager" (she wasn't the real one, but she was filling in for the night) allowed me to do a lot of things other than cash. that was because there were 2 newer girls and she wanted them to get used to cashing. i got to make returns (put unpaid merchandise back at customer service), collect unused gift cards, take out the garbage, and cash out all of the unused tills. it was nice, i really enjoyed not having the stress of cashing. she even told me to watch the 2 girls (help them if needed) when she went to cover other people's breaks. hehe, i can't believe she'd trust a chick who's still wearing her training badge! oh well, nothing bad happened, so that was great. anyway, it was strange how i had a customer who made a $515 purchase during the day! guess how much crap he bought! 2 carts full of food and camping stuff. it was insane! actually it was mainly food and some frying pans! i'm so glad that my "cash manager" could bag for me. otherwise i would have died! it was insane!

and on the way home, i heard my fav BNL song, "shoebox" in full on JOE FM! it was awesome! i haven't heard it in full, in a long time (on the radio).

this day/night was payback for yesterday. at payless, i was walking through an aisle and this moronic freakshow fucker decided to back up into me! she had some fucking nerve to get mad at me and make me the moron! man! i hate assholes like that! uggh! she didn't say sorry when it was all her fault. seriously, when u back up, u should check before doing so! i think her daughter felt a little uncomfortable, i guess her mom does that a lot. btw, that lady had a big bag with a huge box which hit my leg, she didn't get hit at all! i hope she burns in hell! man, how could u not feel guilty for that?! anyway, when her daughter walked in front of me (later on), she said sorry (politely) for being in my way, so i guess she knows her mom's odd. it's sad how mand stupid, rude, fuckers there are in this world! i hope they all go to hell right now! sorry, but u can't treat someone like that! if it's ur fault, then DEAL with it! don't blame others! i swear she backed up into me on purpose, she had no reason what-so-ever. even earlier, she was getting in my way while i was looking at shoes, she would stand in front of me but off to the side a bit (but still in my way). oh well, if i have to deal with her again, i'll remember to tell her off!

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF AN OREO COOKIE! and i MEAN it! on friday evening, i made a wish: one side, i will get no credit app* at zellers on saturday, on the other cookie-i will. well, the cookie with the most icing on it, was the one that was "i will get a credit app". guess what happened on saturday (july 16th), i got a credit app! woot woot! it's my 2nd one, and i am proud. i received 20 000 bonus reward points for the hbc rewards card! yay! a new girl, however, received 2 credit apps on saturday and she has had 3 overall. oh well, that's awesome! i think she's earned 80 000 points total! wow, that's crazy! yes, so don't underestimante the power of an oreo cookie! i'd also like to say that being woken up 2 hrs before u have to, by ur cashier manager so that u can work earlier, sucks. oh well, i managed to survive the day. luckily i didn't have to work in the evening. as well, the new harry potter book is at zellers, and the cashiers have free posters to give (in case anyone wants a free harry potter poster).

*a credit app is when a customer comes through ur till and signs up for an hbc credit card. anyone interested? come through my till, if u are. btw, u save 10% on ur first purchase! k, i'll stop now.

Bang by Armchair Cynics

Break the skin
Cuz I can't tell where your body ends and mine begins
Tear the flesh
I woke today from the likes of a kind of massive kiss
You manifest, release the need
Ya your mojo witchcraft honey it's working on me
And I must confess, oh beg and plead
Ya I need your kiss like the ocean needs a breeze

Chorus:
Oh! I go off like a gun
Like you loaded with fun
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands

So I can feel you here with me
Soaked in sin
Baptized by your kiss and now I'm born again
Watching you
Wrap my hands around your head and pull you in
I can't catch my breath, sing, think or speak
Ya your mojo witchcraft honey it's working on me
So let's make a mess, tear up the sheets
Every word (speak) you speak sends a shiver through me

Oh! I go off like a gun
Like you loaded with fun
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands

Oh! I go off like a gun
Like you loaded with fun
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands

So I can feel you here with me
(Tear the flesh)
So I can feel you here with me
(Break the skin)
So I can feel you near me
(Tear the flesh)
So I make sure you hear me

Oh! I go off like a gun
Like you loaded with fun
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands

Oh! I go off like a gun
Like you loaded with fun
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands
So here we go again
It echoes in my head
Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands

Bang Bang Bang
Collect me in your hands (x2)

EWWWWWWWWW!

"NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A couple pleaded guilty Thursday to hiring a stripper for their son's 16th birthday party and were sentenced to two years probation.
Landon and Anette Pharris, who were charged with contributing the delinquency of a minor, also were ordered to take parenting classes. The parents hired the stripper to perform at a September party attended by about a dozen young people. Cassandra Park, 29, who police say used the stage name Sassy, danced for a few hours before partygoers took up a collection and paid her $150 US more to fully disrobe, Anette Pharris said."

wow, i just witnessed my first ever boyz II men (B2M) concert! now, i can finally say i saw one of my fav bands/groups live. i really wish that i could've seen barenaked ladies also. oh well. anyway, the group came late, very late. doors opened at 8pm (at escape ultra lounge in west ed), but they didn't start the show until 12:30am. this concert took place tuesday, july 5th. the dj for the bounce got booed immensely when he told us fans that B2M (i call them that) was coming at 12:30am. a lot of people left. i, however didn't and well made my bro suffer (he has to get up early for work, poor guy). i'm lucky that i don't have to work tomorrow, or atleast i have no scheduled shifts. anyway, the group finally came out and they started out with my fav song, "motown philly"! man, that was awesome. btw, there are 4 band members yet only 3 were there. one member quit the band for some reason. too bad, i really like the bass voice of the 4th member. they also sang other wonderful hits of theirs and some cover songs. they sang my other fav,"water runs dry". however, they didn't sing my 3rd fav, "can't let her go", but that's okay, they were awesome anyway! during their song, "i'll make love to you", the group was handing out roses (or chucking them) and guess what! i got one! wanya (group member) threw a rose and somehow (i'm not sure, i think the moment was very fast for me to realize what was going on) i managed to grab it before anyone else! i took pics of the rose, because that's my only momento of the concert. stupid ticket collector took the whole ticket rather than giving us the stubs! and there was no merchandise to purchase :( oh well. still, i caught a rose and that's awesome! in addition, the girl next to me got a rose because a group member chucked one at some guy's ear and he gave it to the girl. i think she wanted the rose i got, but no way BITCH! hehe! man, i'm so glad that i was able to see, i was right next to the speakers (kinda behind a big guy) and i wasn't sure if i'd be able to see or not. but, for sure, i'm extremely DEAF!!!! i was next to the speakers for roughly 4.5 hrs and that was killer! the music became louder and that was painful! the bass hurt too. oh well, their voices were great, but the mics weren't of the best quality. also, for 4.5 hrs, everyone was sweating because it was so hot in there, and we were sticking to each other (we were so close). i'm surprised that i didn't faint, i felt like crap every now and then, but i was lucky. however my shoes weren't stuck to the ground to keep be balanced, unlike the sam roberts concert from new years. still, the concert ruled! it was amazing how shawn (my fav of the group) would sing near my section a lot. actually they all came to each section, but he was at mine more! hehe! they played "on bended knee", "end of the road", "mama", "how do i say goodbye", and "please don't go" (half of it), in addition to the previously mentioned songs. when they sang "mama", nate took someone's cell phone and started singing into it. the group told us to take out our phones and call our moms (i didn't). btw, each member of the group was wearing a white t-shirt and silver pants. that's for me to remember.

the concert was only an hour, but the group was going to party with the crowd after, or what was left of the crowd anyway. if i could dance and if my bro didn't have to work, i guess i would have stayed and met the group (that would've been FREAKIN AWESOME)!

i had a feeling something stupid was going to happen, however i felt that the concert would be cancelled. it sucked how they had to start late, but still they made an effort to put on a great show. and i believe they did! i was dancing (sort of) and singing to the songs, i was happy, truly happy. i don't have any pics to share, because i didn't wanna lose my digital camera at the club. as well, i wouldn't have gotten any good pics, cause every time a band member was close, some stupid person would have their hands blocking him because he/she would be taking a pic! i'm deaf now, so if i see any of u in the next couple of days, be aware that i prolly won't hear 95% of the things u have to say. my ears ring when i burp! AHHHHH!

BTW, i'm so glad the smoking ban is in effect! i could actually breathe! and i don't have smoke smell all over me! i'd rather be sweaty and deaf, than be in a room full of smoke that could kill me, make me stink, and severely BURN my eyes!

well, yesterday i worked a 7.5 hr shift at zellers ( i ended in the evening) and today i worked a 6 hr shift. the time flew by, because a couple of the other cashiers (jenna and chantelle) and i were passing the time by paging each other (even though we were right next to each other) and calling each other (we were calling each other from the till next to us). as u can tell, it was quite empty at zellers. chantelle and i also amused ourself by watching doug (stock guy) try to lift lots of packages of soil onto the sidewalk. he didn't like us laughing, but he wasn't angry so that was good. it's fun when the store is empty, u can talk to other people working there and do stupid things.

on canada day i worked at claires for 5 hrs with a girl named kassey. that was an amusing day. we didn't have many customers so we just talked and she showed me her grad photos. also, we took like three 15 min breaks each (in addition to her lunch break), so we could pass the time by. as well, the power went out in our store (the lights), apparently the lights in chapters went out first or someting like that, it was all due to the storm. anyway, the power went back on and it was all good. that evening i saw the fireworks from my dad's window, and they looked cool! but they weren't going on for very long. but still, i liked them.
